The goal: to create a bathroom that feels like a serene sauna retreat—quietly luxurious, grounded in natural textures, and thoughtfully refined. Spa-like without imitation, the design uses materials and proportions to evoke warmth and tranquility. The shower is a focal point, wrapped in ribbed wood-look tile that nods to traditional saunas while remaining modern and low-maintenance. Underfoot, a stone-inspired floor with warm undertones adds organic texture and grounding comfort. Above, a cedar wood ceiling with exposed beams draws the eye upward, adding depth, warmth, and a subtle sauna scent for a full sensory experience. The rich tone of the ceiling balances the cooler hues below, reinforcing the space’s calm atmosphere.

A custom built-in linen closet blends slate blue and mid-tone wood millwork, echoing the vanity and ceiling for visual continuity. Brushed nickel fixtures offer a modern, quiet contrast to the warmth of wood and stone. The palette is curated for harmony: slate blue for depth, creamy whites for softness, and natural woods to tie the space together. Wood elements repeat throughout with intention, creating a rhythmic flow that guides the eye. A barrier-free shower ensures accessibility and a seamless silhouette.
