URBAN NOOK

Urban Nook was a fully customized renovation centered on smart built-ins designed to maximize storage without sacrificing character. To meet the clients’ need for serious functionality, we integrated seven custom built-ins throughout the home, each tailored to how the spaces are truly used.

At the front of the home, a multifunctional dining, office, and mudroom space was supported by a window bench with drawer storage, a built-in coat closet, and a custom office desk complete with concealed printer storage and a clever kill switch. In the living room, custom cabinetry continues with a floating TV console, integrated side tables, open shelving, and a window bench, each detail designed for both form and function. Mitred waterfall edges throughout add refinement while keeping the look cohesive and intentional.

The laundry area was reconfigured to include stacked machines, a folding counter, ample cabinetry, and a dedicated broom closet. Upstairs, we reworked the layout to add a second powder room with a floating vanity, concrete vessel sink, and sculptural globe sconces. To compensate for lost closet space, we created a new custom closet pushed into the roofline, along with a small vanity area and recessed storage niches, strategies repeated in the secondary bedroom to further enhance functionality.

The result is a home that feels more spacious, organized, and purposeful, proof that thoughtful design can deliver both beauty and ease in equal measure.
