HORIZON
This refined, cozy cottage-style addition was designed to feel like it’s always been part of the original home. The project expanded the kitchen, added a walk-in pantry, mudroom, two guest bedrooms, and a guest bathroom—along with a full interior renovation. A stunning stone feature wall runs through the kitchen and mudroom and continues onto the exterior and living room fireplace for a seamless, timeless feel.
The kitchen is full of thoughtful details: a soft green island, floating wood shelves, a lime-plastered range hood, quartz countertops with natural movement, and both apron-front and prep sinks. The layout offers plenty of clearance for multiple cooks and smartly integrates storage with a tucked-away pantry behind the range. The dining room, centered around the original footprint, now features a cozy wood-burning fireplace which our client had always dreamed about - with a tiled hearth that blends right into the flooring. Throughout the home, new white oak hardwood floors add warmth and continuity. In the living room, a stone fireplace and built-in media unit combine open shelving and closed storage with integrated lighting and a recessed TV panel for optimal viewing. Chevron tile floors add texture to the mudroom, laundry, powder room, and entryway.
The mudroom features built-in storage, a shiplap wall in Revere Pewter, and a tall closet cabinet. The laundry room includes celadon green cabinetry, open storage, and durable laminate counters. The primary suite uses space efficiently with a seamless patterned tile floor, porcelain marble-look walls, and a long shower niche. A wood vanity and black fixtures add contrast and warmth. The guest bathroom brings in rustic charm with a wood vanity, sandy-toned tile, a tiled alcove tub, and two lit niches—finishing off this home with comfort, continuity, and a refined, lived-in charm.
