BLUSHWOOD

A Scandinavian-bohemian kitchen with a feminine twist, where soft blush, warm wood and thoughtful details transformed what was already there. Blushwood was all about embracing the girly vibes while keeping the space sophisticated, warm and modern.

Rather than starting from scratch, we refaced much of the existing cabinetry and transformed the island with fluted wood detailing, tying it beautifully into the new wood range hood. One thing we didn’t change? The flooring.

It originally read quite pink, but once surrounded by warmer woods, new cabinetry and the blush palette, it felt completely different. It’s the perfect example of how colour never exists in isolation, surrounding undertones and materials can completely change how we perceive a finish.

And, of course, there’s the pink backsplash. Stacked vertically for a cleaner, contemporary feel, it adds personality and femininity without overwhelming the space.

Blushwood is proof that a beautiful transformation doesn’t always mean ripping everything out. Sometimes it’s about knowing what to keep, what to change and how to make it all work together.

Soft. Warm. A little unexpected. And unapologetically pretty.
